Looks great, but expensive!
09 May 2012.
This looks great. It's easy to put up - only one screw each end which is a massive relief when drilling into tiles! The instructions were thorough and easy to follow. Because of the join in the bar it doesn't feel 100% steady, but it's going nowhere unless someone swings on it. As in the title, it looks great and luxurious as advertised. I might be wrong, but £70 is a lot of money for a shower curtain, seems to be the going rate though!

Expensive but worth the money.
13 April 2011.
This shower curtain rod is strong enough to span the length of the bath without sagging. - not like some other products. Great care must be taken in measuring and cutting to length. It is worth using a pipe cutter to cut the rod. The matching curtain hooks complete a good looking product.

difficult to fit
07 October 2010.
Once fitted this product looks fine and works adequately. It is well made, but once you take it out of the box there is very little for quite a high price; so not great value for money. But who gets excited about a shower curtain rail?
The difficulties I had were in installation. There are opportunities for the unskilled or unwary to ruin the rail beyond redemption before it is fitted.
The rail (actually a thin aluminium tube) has to be cut very accurately to fit wall to wall. If it is wrong by more than a centimetre or so it will not fit. And if it is too short there is no going back. A tip; use a pipe cutter to ensure the ends are square.
It is also difficult to fit level. Having said which, not beyond the capabilities of a competent DIYer.
It would be nice if the manufacturers could give some thought to developing more idiot proof (forgiving) design for installation.
A final tip. As fitted the sliders do not slide. A spray of furniture polish rubbed along the rail overcomes the problem
