not quite what it says on the tin

Coverage is ok... took 3 coats to paint over sand gold, which I didn't think a particularly dark colour. Is slightly transparant/translucent until fully dry too so you can't tell straight away whether you'll need more coats or not. This colour is also more blue than in the paint leaflet where its been put with the greens! Definitely more pale duck egg blue than a pale green/grey retreat! I'd recommend the paint as the final finish is nice but suggest being wary of the colour outcome unless you like a surprise!

The colour we choose was a good match when applied to that on the swatch. The thickness was good and it went on well. The only downside was that it did not give as much coverage as it stated. This may have been because we applied it to lining paper. Would recommend it.

Beautiful soft colours that 'glow' and look great in all lights. Visitors have commented how much they like the colours. Non- 'splattery' when painting the ceiling - a rare find.( only needed one coat ). No strong smell and 2 coats gives velvety coverage. Would choose to use only this paint over others in the future.Looking forward to more colours becoming available.

the colour of this paint has been admired by everyone who has seen it, It was very easy to put on and dried like the colour on the tin. Very pleased with the result.

I was going to buy a brand twice the price but took the risk to buy this 'home label'. So glad I did - it went on brilliantly and has transformed my room. No drips, no smell and a beautiful subtle colour. An excellent decision.

I love HB Sanctuary paint. It goes on easily and the colours are perfect. I have Retreat in my Kitchen/Diner and what a peaceful colour it is.
