the only thing to say about this shower that it takes slightly longer up to a minute to normalise the temperature it's set for, so don't stand under the shower when you start it, because You'll get shocked with cold water wave for a bit. My advice to start it first and then undress and walk in... ;)

Had a few problems fitting this shower as we needed some extra pipe because our previous shower was a different make, however very happy with the finished result.

We shopped around and discovered that the Triton Amber 3 was the best value, cheaper than comparable showers and most importantly was easy to use as a replacement for the existing shower.

Excellent shower, very easy to instal and fitted onto existing components of a previous Triton I was replacing. My only, minor, criticism is that the shower head is a little small and doesn't spray as fiercely. Other than that very pleased with it.

I needed to replace an existing Electric Shower which had packed up. Homebase had a good range of showers and this Triton Amber 3 was a great choice since it offered flexibility in the installation so that the existing entry points for water and power could be used. As it happened, the Plumber had to re-route the water pipe so that the Shower unit could be fixed to cover up the fixing points of the old one. However, overall I was pleased with my purchase

The Triton Amber 3 is great, ive had all 3 and as expected they just get better. This 1 has 3 power settings and a better showerhead that doesnt clog up. Its inexpensive but is as good as most of the other slightly dearer makes. The only downsides are that the fittings are different so i had to move the wires and the unit is bigger than the old Ambers, but apart from that im very happy with my shower.

Relatively easy shower to set up and get working. The inlet was in a different position to my old shower and the box didn't make it that clear where the inlet was. (it's bottom right as you look at it and if you're plumbing comes in from above you need to go in through the top left corner then go across the bottom).
Once fitted though it worked fine although I doubt I'll get any use out of the cooler dial settings as it's only an 8.5kw shower. Pressure through the supplied head is reasonable but it looks a bit cheap but in fairness this is reflected in the purchase price.
If you want a really hot high pressure shower or an adjustable shower head you'll need to look higher up the range but if you want a basic shower that does the job well there's really no need to spend any more.

This electric shower is great. Provides hot water even at teh low settings. It can take the shower sometines 15 seconds to heat the water up.
Overall, a good buy for an electric shower!

The shower is attractive and functions admirably, as expected from a product from one of UK's top manufacturers. It is easy to use and gives instant hot water. Overall, at Homebase online price, the shower is excellent value for money.

What a revelation

In a world of throw away everything this splendid shower was quite simply a revelation. I bought it as a replacement for my aging Triton T70 which had given great service but was showing its age. I decided I would again go for Triton and saw that the Amber 3 was a similar spec to my old T70, so the Amber it was. Now knowing that in todays super fast market place with procucts being updated seemingly hourly and never backwards compatible I got myself ready for a day of rewiring, plumbing, tiling etc etc, you know the score. So after removing the T70 I open the box and take out the Amber and offered it up to the wall. What came next had me thanking those guys at Triton out loud, (my pet Labrador looked up from his ball bemused). Not only did the Amber match the T70's footpring exactly (no drilling or tiling required), the water inlet was in exactly the same place (no plumbing needed) and the electrics were in the same place as the T70 also (no wiring), So the job from beginning to end took 30 minutes, including the 5 minutes congratulatiing myself at a job well done :). Absolutely fantastic and the showers performance is the icing on the cake. Triton I salute you!

The shower was easy to install - it fit where the old shower had been.
It is clean and bright looking and easy to use.
There are three heat settings and 10 different temperature settings - perfect for everyone.
Very reasonably priced - a good buy.
