The actual toilet seat is subtantial and well made. More money should have been spent on the lug fitting to attach the toilet seat to the pan.

We bought 6 of the Anti bacterial soft close toilet seats for our guest house and 1 for ourselves. They fit perfectly on all toilets, the closing mechanism is very good. They don't stain like wooden toilet seats and are easy to clean. Simply wipe them with a damp cloth, no cleaning product required.
Would definately recommend and buy again.

While this toilet seat looks good, the seat itself does not stay up which will be very annoying for all the boys at home. Unfortunately I will be returning this asap.

when tightening up thumb screws underneath it pulls the fixing through and seat comes loose due to the poor quality, cheap plastic fixings. Best avoided unless you think you would enjoy falling off the lav! wish I could leave a no star rating.

SHAME I CANT GIVE THIS PRODUCT NO STARS, AS IT STOPPED BEING SOFT CLOSE AFTER ABOUT 2 WEEKS, CHANGED IT FOR ANOTHER ONE AND IT WAS THE SAME, SOME THING LEEKS FROM THE HINGE AREA MAKING A MESS, HAVE GOT MY MONEY BACK. DONT BUY ONE EVEN AT HALF PRICE.

Easy to fit, had it up and running in 10 mins. slow close works well.
Bought this to replace a more expensive wooden slow close toilet seat that lasted two days then fell apart, wish I had gone for this one first.

This basically does what it says on the tin. ALL white NO silver trim which can become discoloured and look tatty. The soft close feature works really easy and as yet its still in full working order. Also good value for money why would you pay more

Was unsure about it at first, as was a 3rd replacement from a previous type all together that wasnt up to scratch, and kept breaking. However, due to this one being half price, I thought I would give it a go. Very pleased I did. More so as, in middle of night if one needs to spend a penny. Theres no accidental slamming of the lid and waking the whole house up...

I purchased 2 of these as temporary replacements but have found them such good value for money that they are no longer seen as temporary.
I must add that they were half price when I purchased them,but I think even at full price they are good value.

Easy to install (we have had major problems in the past with toilet seats). Soft close a bonus and easy to keep clean. Would definitely purchase another one in the future if necessary.

Fixings of poor quality

The plastic parts for fixing to the bowl warp over time (months, not years), and eventually fail or pop out of their mountings in the base of the seat. I have had to replace a few of these, and will not be using again... Having said that, the rest of the seat is OK, but I would not recommend sitting on the lid, as a guest at our house did so, and cracked it...

I agree with a previous reviewer who had to modify the brackets so that the seat doesn't move around.
The design may be poor, but the actual seat works as stated - soft close. This is great as it means no more banging of toilet seat / lids!
For those interested, I ended up cutting a very small piece of net curtain wire to fit the gaps in the bracket.

Moved into a new house a month ago and replaced the three toilet seats with this product.
Looked at the reviews before hand and then the seat itself in the store.
After a month two out of the three soft close mechanisms have broken.
Poor quality and ultimately a waste of my time & money.
Buy an alternative, not these one's, otherwise you'll be replacing them within two months.

After fitting toilet seat would not stay up when opened and there is no adjustment on the seat fitting.No rubber seal supplied to go underneath the fitting when attached to the toilet .The back two feet of the seat do not sit on the pan when shut which will put a lot of strain on the hinge fitting.The colour of the seat is more of a grey white which i think looks odd with a white toilet. I will be returning the seat tomorrow.

After trying out several toilet seats (always to find they worked themselves loose at the fixings then broke, or they were the wrong size) eventually found this one which is adaptable to fit perfectly and very securely. Great soft-close action!
