Hot tap is more like a shower!

The cold is fine, but as others have posted, the hot tap comes out with such force through the small hole it showers everything in about a foot radius of the sink! The problem seems to be the internal tube that the hot water runs through which flattens when it bends to the delivery point increasing the pressure and making the flow uneven. Pull the nozzle clear of the tap, the tube flattens out and the pressure is less and the water flows evenly. Push it back in to position and the problem returns.
I thought I had a faulty tap, but seeing what has been written here it appears to be a design fault. I know you get what you pay for but I bought this for a interim replacement until I can afford a new kitchen, I did at least expect it to be fit for purpose. Clearly it is not! I
I have only had the tap fitted for a month and I am sick of mopping up after it already! Having paid for a plumber to fit it while doing a bigger job for me, now I am stuck with it or will have additional expense to remove the tap and fit another if I take it back.
DON'T BUY THIS TAP unless you want to be finely sprayed every time you use it, along with everything else around the sink area!

Good colour; easily fitted. Keeps clean OK. Hot water takes a while to come through due to small bore, rubber internal tube. Spout grinds a bit when turned. Cold water tends to dribble for a while after being turned off.

The tap looks fine, the water when it comes out on the cold is fine but when the hot comes out it splashes all over the place. Am looking to replace it!

When I needed to replace a mixer tap in my rented property, I needed the exact same piece for speed and reliability. Homebase had the product in stock, at a great price and my tenant was thrilled that I took care of the problem so fast. Thanks Homebase!
